South of Israel Tour

Pick up from your hotel and drive to Sde Boker Ben Gurion tomb

On this day we will enjoy a beautiful drive to the south of Israel to the Negev Dessert. Our first stop will be Kibbutz Sde Boker. in 1953 David Ben-Gurion resigned his office as Prime Minister and retired to a hut built especially for him at kibbutz in order to set a personal example for the settlement of the Negev. The hut has been preserved just the way it was when Paula and David Ben-Gurion lived there. We will visit the hut and Ben Gurion’s tomb.

Drive to Ramon Crater

Ramon Crater is the largest erosion crater in the world. It was created 220 million years ago

As you stand on the rim of the crater’ the beautiful and impressive desert scenery is spread out before you. However, it is recommended not just to settle for a wonderful view, but to actually get into it – to go down into the crater to learn its pathways and unique sites close up and to enjoy the “window” which it opens into the ancient geological worlds of fossils, colorful sands, volcanic rocks, and more. We will also

visit the Ramon Visitors Centre situated on the edge of the crater dedicated to the first Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon

Take a jeep tour to the heart of the crater
